Joe is a well-traveled Maryland-based full time wildlife and nature photographer. A life long outdoorsman who has been afield almost daily the past fifty+ years. In February of 2021, he was invited to join Chas Glatzer’s “Shoot The Light” as an instructor and photo workshop leader.

Joe’s images have graced the cover of Ducks Unlimited, Natural History magazine, placed and won in many competitions including Bird Photographer of the Year and Audubon’s photography awards. Publication credits include Audubon, Ducks Unlimited, Cornell University’s Bird Biology Textbooks and more.

Joe enjoys teaching photography and feels the best when he sees clients get the shot they envisioned in their head. His hands-on approach to workshops allows his clients to be out in the field shooting, asking questions and tweaking their style in the moment to gaining the necessary knowledge to capture the shot of their dreams. His deep knowledge of animal behavior, nature, cameras, both DSLR and mirrorless, extreme BIF skills and how to get the most out of the equipment makes him a very effective teacher for students at all levels.
